Jaina M Haran is an economics graduate from the University of Mysore with diverse experience in research, advocacy, and community organizing. She co-founded BusLoBharosa, a campaign against sexual harassment in public transport. Her expertise spans qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder engagement, and campaign strategy.

Her academic research includes a study on the Determinants of Expenditure on Preparation for Civil Service Exams in Karnataka, where she analysed how economic and social factors shape educational spending. Through extensive data collection and analysis, she explored disparities in access to resources and the financial burden on aspirants.
