Srija Sahay is an English Literature graduate from the University of Delhi and is currently pursuing a master’s program in International Electoral Management and Practices from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. With a Humanities and Social Sciences background and experience in social work, she brings strong creative, analytical, critical and interpersonal skills. She has researched women’s voter turnout in Bihar that explores gender narratives amid socio-economic challenges. As a part of her internship with the Election Commission of India, she worked as the monitoring nodal for the Bhagalpur division for the state of Bihar during the General Elections to the Lok Sabha, 2024. Further, she has contributed on various levels to the Endline Survey of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of citizens in Bihar post the Lok Sabha elections, which comes under the SVEEP (voters’ education) vertical of the Commission. Interning with government organizations has deepened her grassroots understanding, fuelling her passion for bridging policy and practice to drive equitable, and inclusive societal progress.
