
Akash is a dedicated public policy and development professional with a strong background in governance, project management, and political consulting. He currently serves as an Associate at CRISP, where he plays a key role in implementing the National Initiative for Skill Integrated Higher Education (NISHE) project in partnership with the Higher Education Department, Sector Skill Councils, and academic institutions across Madhya Pradesh.
His work focuses on stakeholder coordination, program implementation, and policy outreach aimed at improving the quality, employability, and inclusivity of higher education in India. Prior to joining CRISP, Akash was a Research Fellow (2021–2023) with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, under the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship coordinated by IIM Udaipur. In this role, he worked closely with the district administration of Nagaur, Rajasthan, to strengthen the local skilling ecosystem through the development of the District Skill Development Plan (DSDP), project monitoring, and multi-stakeholder coordination. He also led initiatives such as skill training for jail inmates and supported the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) at the district level. Akash has also worked as a Political Consultant with Jan Suraaj in Bihar, where he was involved in grassroots political mobilisation, policy planning, constituency analysis, and election coordination. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from the University of Delhi and an MBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management. In addition, he is certified as a Public Policy & Management professional by IIM Udaipur. Also, he has completed professional certifications in Project Management and Data Analytics from Google. Akash brings a unique blend of analytical skills, public policy understanding, and field experience, making him a valuable contributor to CRISP’s mission of evidence-based policy implementation.
